TTD TO ENHANCE TRANSPARENCY IN ITS ON-LINE SERVICES FROM JUNE 1

TIRUPATI , MAY 25: To make the technology more pilgrim-friendly, the temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is all set set to enhance its on-line services with more transparency which will come into force from June 1 onwards.

TTD Executive Officer Dr D Samba Siva Rao on Monday, during the weekly meeting with senior officers of Ttd in his chambers in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati, has directed the IT wing of Ttd to enhance its services by making some amendments in the existing system in the on-line services of booking of special entry darshan and arjitha Seva tickets. Some important changes in the offing in on-line services in order to make the e-booking system more pilgrim-friendly:

To send regret letters to the failure transactions for the Rs.300 special entry darshan tickets and send a mail to the pilgrim stating that the amount for the failures transaction will be refunded within three days. As a measure of transparency in booking system, to display the names of the devotees who booked the on-line Seva tickets in the web site after 12 midnight every day.

. To make special entry darshan booking round the clock. However for the on-line booking of Seva tickets the existing procedure will continue and every day the booking will be opened by 9am

. While booking special entry darshan ticket, henceforth the principle devotee alone has to scan his photo and ID-proof while for the rest of his family members there is no need to submit both. The other members can scan only their ID-proof and they have to bring the same ID-proof while reporting for darshan.
