TTD TO OBSERVE WEEK LONG SANGEETHA MAHOTSAVAM FELICITATING NATIONAL ARTISTES-JEO

Tirupati, 24 June 2016: The temple management of TTD is designing an action plan to observe sangeetha mahotsavam for a week in year inviting nationally eminent artists and felicitating them, said TTD Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.

Addressing the sravana nakshatra sangeeta utsavam in SV college of Music and Dance in Tirupati the Jeo said, on every sravana asterism former artistes of the college will be invited and a concert will be arranged with them which be encouraging to them as well inspiring to the students.

Meanwhile former Nadaswaram students of the college and now renowned artists in this field sri subbaramaiah and Sri shankara rao presented note worthy songs of Tyagayya, Muttuswamy Dikshitultu and songs of the other eminent carnatic music composers in a melodious way on this traditional wind instrument.

DyEO Smt Goutami, principal Smt Padmavathi were also present.
