TTD TRUST BOARD MEET IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 27 October 2015: The TTD Trust Board Meeting which took place under the chairmanship of Dr Ch Krishnamurthy at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday has taken some important resolutions. Some excerpts:

 The board has given its nod towards the construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple and Sri Maha Ganapathi temple complexes in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad at a cost of Rs.13.89cr in 3.5acres land.

 As a part of AP government’s ambitious programme of making Tirupati as an important medical hub, the board has approved for the allocation of seven acres of land to the world’s best eye hospital- Arvind Eye Care of Madhurai, to start their branch in Tirupati on a rental of Rs.one lakh per acre per year. TTD has also sought the hospital authorities to provide free eye care to the employees of TTD. The hospital will come up in a year at an expenditure of Rs.100cr.

 The board has decided to distribute the left over 20,291 CDs of “Swaralatharchana” for free to the devotees during Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavatosavams which are slated to take place in New Delhi from October 30 to November 8.

 The board has given its consent towards the purchase of 19000 kilos of black pepper at a cost of Rs.1.54cr, 27000 kilos of Cardomom at Rs.2.43cr and 41.43 lakh litres of toned milk at a cost of rs.12.01cr on e-tender procurement basis.

 TTD trust board has given its nod towards the allocation of the renovated Govinda Sai Rest house to pilgrims at a tariff of Rs.6000 for master suite for a day, Rs.2,500 for a normal suite for a day and Rs.750 for cellar room per day.

 The tender contact has been accepted to Facility Management Services(FMS) for housekeeping, Sanitation and maintenance of VSRH, SPT, RBRH, SGRH, Sudarshan, Kalyan and Govardhan chowltries for a two year period from 2015-17.

CURRENT BOOKING COUNTER SOON IN TIRUPATI

Later answering the queries of media persons, the TTD Trust board Chairman Sri Krishnamurthy said, TTD is mulling to open Rs.300 advance booking counter in Tirupati initially soon. He also said, a committee comprising board members Sri Raghavendra Rao, Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy, Sri Sayanna, Sri Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Sri Anantha, Sri Sekhar, Sri Putta Sudhakar Yadav and special invitee Sri C Ramachandra Reddy along with Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, Additional FACAO Sri O Balaji with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju as convener is been constituted by the board to study the possibilities of a relook into the rates of of arjitha sevas, prasadams, rooms and kalyana mandapams at different places in two telugu speaking states and submit the report in a fortnight’s time.
