KOTAPPAKONDA VEDAPATHASHALA TO BECOME IDEAL FOR VEDIC STUDIES-MINISTER
KOTAPPAKONDA, OCTOBER 4: “Vedas are the essence of our Sanatana Dharma and there is need to promote and preserve the tenets for future generations by encouraging Vedic education”, said Honourable Speaker of AP Assembly Dr K Siva Prasad.
The dignitary participated in the inauguration of TTD-run Veda Pathashala at Kotappakonda in Guntur district along with AP Labour Minister Sri Acchennaidu and TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy on Sunday.
Speaking on this occasion, he complimented TTD for its initiative in promoting Vedic knowledge by establishing Vedic schools, universities, trust etc. “There is need to take up more and more activities to promote our Vedic knowledge”, he added.
Meanwhile Minister Sri Acchennaidu said, Kotappakonda will soon emerge as knowledge hub for Vedas. “Today history has been written by opening up the Vedic school here and very soon it will become ideal to Vedic Studies”, he asserted.
In his speech, TTD Chairman said, TTD has released Rs.4.15cr towards the construction of Vedic school, hostel and quarters while another Rs.4.65cr for Pilgrim amenities complex and Rs.74lakhs towards setting up two massive statues of Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu in the Pathashala premises. “All these works will be completed in next four months time. I am confident that Kotappakonda will emerge as an ideal Vedic institution in the country”, he maintained.
