TTD’s DHARMA RATHA YATRA IN EAST GODAVARI FROM NOV. 29 TO DEC 29

TIRUMALA, NOV 27: With an aim to enhance spiritual fervour among the denizens of rural areas and remote villages, the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) wing of TTD has undertaken DharmaRadha Yatra in East Godavari district from November 29 to December 29 for a period of one month.

The ratham which was flagged off in Tirupati on December 26 will reach Korukonda village of East Godavari on November 29. This programme will be inaugurated at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, AP Deputy CM Sri N Chinarajappa and Endowments Minister Sri Manikyala Rao will take part in this spiritual fete on Saturday.

Three vehicles including two Dharma Prachara Rathams and a Kalyana Ratham will be on this spiritual mission in East Godavari district for a period of one month. This Dharma Radha Yatra about 214 villages. Srinivasa Kalyanams will also be performed in eight places during this month long programme.

The prominent places where Dharma Ratha Yatra takes place includes Gokavaram on \November 30, Polavaram on December 4, Tuni on December 7 and 8, Pithapuram on December 9, Pasalapudi on December 20, Daksharamam on December 21, Anaparthi on December 22, Rajamundry on December 23. Apart from this Dharma ratha Yatra, Srinivasa Kalyanams will also be performed during this period in Rampachodavaram on December 3, Amalapuram on December18 and at Rajamundry on December 29.

The Dharma ratham with the replica idol of Lord will go to each and every village and the vermilion packets(kumkum) of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi will be distributed to the local devotees. TTD has also arranged Annamaiah Keertans and Dasa Padas during the procession of the ratham every day.

MEETING WITH SRIVARI SEVAKULU:

The Srivari Seva volunteers will also take part in this unique programme and they motivate the villagers to participate in this programme. After the inaugural programme, there will be an exclusive meeting with Srivari Seva volunteers in Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple on November 29.
Apart from the sevakulu, the bhajan troupes belonging to particular villages also perform their art during the procession.
