TWO DAY WORK SHOP ON EMERGENCY TREATMENT BEGINS AT ASWINI HOSPITAL
JANUARY 5: With an aim to provide more advanced and better medical services to the visiting pilgrims at the time of emergency, the TTD medical department along with Chennai Apollo hospital experts has organised a two-day training programme in Tirumala Aswini hospital said, Chief Medical Officer of TTD, Dr.Prabhakar.
Addressing the inaugural session of the two-day programme in Tirumala on Wednesday, the CMO said, all the doctors, staff nurse, MNOs will be trained in First Aid by Dr.Dhavapalani Alagappan, HOD of Emergency Surgery of Apollo Hospital. He said about 150 medical and para-medical staff will be trained under this two-day work shop which is being organised under the instructions of EO Sri IYR Krishna Rao and Joint EO, Tirumala Sri K.Bhaskar. He said TTD medical department will continue such programmes even in future to provide much better free medical services to the pilgrims.
Later addressing the medical staff, Dr.Dhavapalani has given some interesting tips and how to tackle the patients in the case of emergency situations. With the support of some medical gadgets and human replicas, he explained various modes of emergency treatment to the hospital staff.
Dr. Nageshwara Rao, the in-Charge superintendent of Aswini hospital and other doctors were also present at the workshop.
