TYAGARAJA ARADHANOTSAVAMS IN MAHATI ON JAN 10-TIRUPATI JEO

TIRUMALA, JAN 08: As a part of “Vaggeyakara Vaibhavam” program, TTD is all set to observe the 168th Tyagaraja Aradhanotsavam in Mahati auditorium in Tirupati on January 10, said Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.

Addressing press conference at SVETA in Tirupati on Thursday evening, the JEO said, Saint poet and “Nada Brahma” Sri Tyagaraja Swamy has penned several thousands of kritis during his lifetime. As a tribute to this musical Saint, TTD is arranging a grand carnatic musical fiesta in the temple town of Tirupati on Saturday. “In the morning by 8.30 am there will procession of the two and a half feet panchaloha idol of the saint poet along the streets of Tirupati before reaching Mahati. From 10 am onwards there will the presentation of the famous “Tyagaraja Pancharatnakritis” by 108 eminent artistes of TTD. This will be followed by the rendition of other kritis by artistes of Kalaneerajanam. In the evening there will be meeting TTD to brass official which will be followed by the concerts of Sri Malladi Suribabu and Sri DV Mohan Krishna.
