UNIDENTIFIED DEVOTEE DONATES GOLD JEWELS TO SRIBHU VARAHA SWAMY

VARAHA JAYANTHI CELEBRATED IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 4 September 2016: The annual Varaha jayanti fete has been celebrated with utmost religious fervour in Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy temple located adjacent to Swami Pushkarini on the north side of Tirumala shrine on Sunday.

The annual fete started with the ceremonial Kalasa Sthapana, Kalasa Puja, Punyahavachanam, followed by Snapana Tirumanjanam.

Later TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, Speaking on this occasion said, every year TTD celebrates this fete as per agamas. “It has been an age old practice that every devotee should first page visit to this temple in Tirumala before having darshan of Lord Venkateswara as the hill town is known as Adi Varaha Kshetra”, he added.

Later TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao said, an unidentified devotee has offered two kilos weighing gold kavacham and seven kilos silver Padma Peetham to the presiding deity of Sri Varaha Swamy while another two kilos weighing silver throne to the utsavarulu.

Tirumala In-charge JEO Sri P Bhaskar, temple DyEO Sri Kodanda Rama Rao and other officials were also present.
