UTLOTSAVAM PERFORMED WITH GAIETY IN TIRUMALA _ తిరుమలలో ఘనంగా ఉట్లోత్సవ వేడుకలు

TIRUMALA, AUGUST 29: Religious ecstasy marked the ‘Utlotsavam’ festival on Thursday in Tirumala with the participation of large number of pilgrims and local denizens.

It is a customary practice to perform Utlotsavam every year on the succeeding day of Sri Krishna Janmasthami in the famous hill town of Tirumala amidst great religious pomp and gaiety where tens of thousands of people converge to take part in the famous traditional sport “Shikyotsavam or Utlotsavam”.

The event began on a religious note with the processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy and Sri Krishna Swamy taking a pleasure ride along the four mada streets and enthusiastically taking part in the religious sport. As a part of this religious event, the deities were first brought to Jiyangar Mutt, followed by Hathirambabaji mutt, Karnataka Chowltries etc. where special pujas have been offered.

Usually the pilgrims often get mused to see the grandeur of the deities. But in this particular traditional sport of Utlotsavam, the deities take part in this amusing traditional sport where hundreds of enthusiastic youth who formed in groups climb upon each other to seize the “Prize money bag” tied atop a wooden log. Even though Utlotsavams was conducted at different places, the one in front of the main temple complex remained high light of all drawing huge crowds.

TTD has cancelled arjitha sevas in wake of this festival on thursday.

TTD Executive Officer Sri M.G.Gopal, CVSO Sri GVG Ashok Kumar, DyEO Sri Rama Rao, Peishkar Sri R.Selvam, Parpathyedar Sri Ajay and other temple officials also took part in this festival.

తిరుమలలో ఘనంగా ఉట్లోత్సవ వేడుకలు

తిరుమల, 29 ఆగష్టు : అఖిల వేదాంతవేద్యుడైన శ్రీ వేంకటేశ్వరస్వామికి ప్రతి సంవత్సరం శ్రావణ బహుళాష్టమినాడు గోకులాష్టమి ఆస్థానాన్ని నిర్వహించి మరునాడు ఉట్లోత్సవాన్ని (శిక్యోత్సవం) నిర్వహించడం ఆనవాయితి. గురువారంనాడు ఈ ఉట్లోత్సవాన్ని తిరుమలలో అత్యంత వైభవంగా నిర్వహించారు.

ఉట్లోత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకొని తి.తి.దే ఆర్జితసేవలైన కల్యాణోత్సవం, ఊంజల్‌సేవ, వసంతోత్సవం, సహస్రదీపాలంకారసేవలను రద్దు చేసింది.

ఈ ఉత్సవాన్ని తిలకించడానికి సాక్షాత్తు శ్రీ మలయప్పస్వామి బంగారు తిరుచ్చిపై, శ్రీ కృష్ణస్వామి మరో తిరుచ్చిపై తిరువీధులలో ఊరేగుతూ దాదాపు 16 ప్రాంతాల్లో తిరుగాడుతూ ఉత్సాహంగా తిలకించారు.

ముందుగా ప్రాతఃకాలారాధనం, మధ్యాహ్నికారాధనం అయిన తరువాత ఈ ఉత్సవమూర్తులు ముందుగా పెద్దజీయంగార్‌ మఠానికి వేంచేయగా ఆరగింపు హారతి, బహుమాన నివేదనలు నిర్వహించారు. అనంతరం హథీరాంజీ మఠానికి, అటుపిమ్మట కర్ణాటక సత్రాలు వంటి ఇతర ప్రాంతాల్లో కూడా ఉత్సవర్లు కలియతిరుగుతూ ఉట్లోత్సవంలో పాల్గొన్నారు. గురువారం మధ్యాహ్నం 1 గంటకు ప్రారంభమై సాయంత్రం 5 గంటల వరకు ఆద్యంత కోలాహలంగా సాగిన ఈ ఉట్లోత్సవంలో స్థానికులు, భక్తులు ఉల్లాసంగా పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో పాల్గొని ఉట్లను పగులగొట్టారు.

సర్వసాధారణంగా సర్వజగద్రక్షకుడైన స్వామివారి చిద్విలాసాన్ని తిలకించి పులకించడం భక్తుల వంతైతే ఉట్లోత్సవంనాడు భక్తుల ఉత్సాహాన్ని తిలకించి ఆనందించడం స్వామివార్ల వంతు కావడం విశేషం.

ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో తి.తి.దే. కార్యనిర్వహణాధికారి శ్రీ యమ్‌.జి.గోపాల్‌, ముఖ్యనిఘా మరియు భద్రతాధికారి శ్రీ జి.వి.జి. అశోక్‌కుమార్‌, ఇతర ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
