“VAIKHANASA AGAMA IS “DIVINE SHASTRA”-TIRUMALA JEO

TIRUMALA, JULY 12:  The Vaikhanasa Agama is considered equivalent to vedas and hence is regarded as “Divine Shastra” said, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.

Addressing the valedictory function of the two-day Vaikhanasa Agama Sadas held at Astana Mandapam in Tirumala on Saturday evening, the JEO said, because of its divine nature, the rituals, festivals and other religious ceremonies in the world famous Hindu temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala are being followed as per the norms of Vaikhanasa Agama”, he maintained.

He said, the two day conference will come out with some fruitful resolutions which will further enhance the glory of the great sacred study.

The conference was also attended by Editor-in-chief Sri Ravva Srihari, HDPP special officer Sri Sriram Raghunath, Dharmagiri Veda Pathashala Principal Sri KSS Avadhani, co-ordinator Sri Vishnubhattacharyulu and other scholars.
