Tirumala, 11 July 2014: Vaikhanasa Agama is the essence of all Vedas and is considered as the encyclopaedia of temple worship, said TTD EO Sri MG Gopal

Addressing the inaugural session of the two-day Vaikhanasa Agama Sadas organised under the aegis of Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad(HDPP) in Asthana Mandapam at Tirumala on Friday, the EO said, the daily rituals in Tirumala shrine take place as per the guidelines of Vaikhanasa Agama in a systematic manner. “There is shortage of 1548 archakas in TTD run temples across the country. We are contemplating to fill these posts after discussing in the coming board meeting soon. Keeping in view the shortage of Vaikhanasa Agama scholars, the vedic students are to be encouraged to take up this subject so that it would help them in future” he added.
