TICKET HOLDERS TO BE ALLOWED FROM 9AM ONWARDS

TIRUPATI, AUGUST 22: The temple town of Tiruchanoor has been gearing up for the big religious fete, Varalakshmi Vratam which will be observed on August 28 in the Asthana Mandapam here.

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar held a review meeting with officials of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru temple in the Asthana Mandapam on Saturday.

He has instructed the civil wing of Engineering department to complete the minor repair works and necessary arrangements to be done before August 25. Later he directed the Electrical wing of TTD to come out with couple of illumination arches for the special occasion and place LED screens so that the pilgrims can witness the ritual. He has also instructed the garden wing to make attractive floral erections not only inside the temple but also at some places outside the temple so as to give an aesthetic feel to the devotees,

The JEO also instructed the EDP department to issue tickets on first come first basis on August 25 from 10amonwards in the ticket issuing counter inside the temple, on production of xerox copies of any Id-proof viz. Adhaar, PAN card, driving licence, voter card or ration card. The pilgrims who procured tickets should bring their original IDs on August 28 when they take part in the ritual.

The JEO also said, the devotees who are taking part in Varalakshmi Vratam should come in traditional attire only and they will be allowed only from 9am on wards.

Meanwhile TTD has cancelled Abhishekanantara Darshanam, Lakshmi Puja, Kalyanotsavam, Laksha Kumkuamrchana and Unjal Seva on August 28 following Varalakshmi Vratam which will be held from 10am to 12noon. While there will be procession of Golden chariot by 6pm on the same day evening.
