VARALAKSHMI VRATAM OBSERVED WITH RELIGIOUS FERVOUR IN TIRUCHANOOR

Tiruchanur, 8 August 2014: The temple town of Tiruchanoor swung to the devotional melody of “Lakshmi Stotram” recited by the priests in connection with the auspicious festival of Varalakhsmi Vratam that was observed at Asthana Mandapam on Friday.

TTD has made elaborate arrangements for this important festival and sold around 500-600 tickets to the devotees. The Astana Mandapam was jam packed with the couples who took part in this religious ceremony.

Meanwhile the day started with the awakening of Goddess Padmavathi Devi with Suprabhatham followed by Sahasra Namarchanam and later Abhishekam has been performed to the presiding as well to the processional deities.

Later the utsava murthy was taken to the Asthana Mandapam and seated on finely decked platform and Varalakshmi Vratam was observed with recitation of various hymns in praise of Goddess Lakshmi.

TTD Chairman Sri K Bapiraju, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, Temple Spl Gr Deputy EO Sri Bhaskar Reddy and others also were present.

Meanwhile in the evening the procession of Golden Chariot will be performed by 6pm around the mada streets in view of this auspicious occasion.
