Tirumala, 10 Oct. 14: “Vedas are the quintessence of Hindu Santhana Dharma and if they are safe guarded, they will protect entire humanity’’, advocated Kanchi Pontiff H.H. Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji.

The Kanchi Seer who graced the national Veda vidwat agama sadassu organised under the ageisis of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has chief guest , In his inaugural address of the six day meet said the students should not only study Vedas but should digest its divine essence and implement the same for the welfare of the society.

He said Vedas guide the humanity to choose the righteous way of leading life’’ The Vedic wisdom in immortal. Vedic knowledge should be propagated in a wide spread manner by organising national conferences of this sort at regular intervals. Iam glad to see that the country’s richest Hindu Dharmic and Religious Organisation of TTD has come forward with this noble mission’’ he complimented.

Addressing the inaugural session TTD EO Sri MG Gopal said the TTD has taken up the noble task of the protecting, propagating and preserving the Vedas for the benefit of the entire humanity by taking up several Vedic publicity programmes which includes organising national conferences, seminars, introducing various Vedic promotions schemes in a wide spread manner. ‘’ In present six day Vedic conference we have invited students from various Vedic institutions across the country to showcase their skills and expertise in various areas of Vedic studies. Will be conducting them exams and those who excel in these exams will be awarded with meritorious certificates which have a high recognition to pursue their future career wherever they want in any part of the country’’.

TTD EO adding further said, Vedas are the divine scriptures. ‘’ Vedas have a capacity to mesmerise even the nature if they are recited in a perfect manner. A clear instance for this is the recent heavy downpour witnessed in tirumala after performing Annual Pavithrotsavams, Kareeri Isthi- Varuna Japa- Prajanya Shanti Homam’’ he added. He called upon the students of Vedic studies to do lot of research and acquire tons of wisdom from the divine scriptures of Vedas and revive its significance for the good of the society he maintained.

In his speech Tirupati Joint Executive Officer Sri Pola Bhaskar said starting from Suprabhatam seva to ekantha seva the entire day of rituals performed in the temple of Lord Venkateswara happens by rhythmic chant of Vedaparayanam only. ‘’ This shows the prominent role of Vedas in Hindu Religious institutions. Hence, Vedas are rightly described as’ Divine Scriptures’ he added. JEO also said the conduct of national Vedic sadas commenced by TTD following the suggestion of H.H.Sri Sri Chandrasekhara Saraswathi Swamy of Kanchi Mutt in the year 1966. Since then TTD has organised many Vedic sadas of sorts for the benefit of the humanity’’ he maintained.

Meanwhile the six day Veda Vidwat Agama Sadas which kick started on Friday will conclude on October 15. Over 600 eminent Vedic scholars from across the country have participated in this national Vedic sadas which was posted by TTD in Dharmagiri Vedapatasala premises.
