VENKATESWARA VAIBHAVOTSAVAMS SOON – TTD CHAIRMAN

TIRUMALA, MAY 28:  As a part of the propagation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma and Venkateswara Bhakti Cult, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) will soon conduct seven day replica religious events of arjitha sevas under the able guidance of renowned spiritual scholar Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao in Vizag on experimental basis, said TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri K Bapiraju.

The Executive Committee meeting of Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad took place at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Wednesday. Chairing the meeting Sri Bapiraju said, few years ago, only few pilgrims had an opportunity to witness the celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara and His consorts Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. But with the introduction of “Srinivasa Kalyanams”, not only the people of the state and country but also overseas had the divine pleasure to witness the celestial marriage with aplomb. “Today, Srinivasa Kalyanams are a big hit among the masses as the devotees of Srivaru can witness the grandeur of the marriage sitting right in their native places”, he added.

The TTD board chief also added, “Similarly the Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams throw focus on the weekly arjitha sevas that are performed to Lord Venkateswara on specific week day including Visesha Puja on Monday, Astadala Padapadmaradhana on Tuesday, Sahasra Kalasabhishekam on Wednesday, Tiruppavada on Thursday, Purabhishekam on Friday, apart from Suprabhatam, Thomala and Archana. The significance of these programme will be narrated by none other than the spiritual scholar Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao and we will like to launch this programme in Visakhapatnam soon for a period of a week. This will not only make the people aware of various arjitha sevas that are being performed to Lord but also give a divine solace to the hearts of millions who witness the replica sevas sitting right at their native places”, he added.

He instructed the HDPP authorities to design the guidelines and norms initially to perform the Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams on pilot basis in Vizag.

Later he congratulated the TTD, HDPP, srivari sevaks, Dharma Prachara Mandali members and various institutions for their efforts in making the “Subhapradham”-summer training camp for 8th, 9th and 10th standard children a grand success. “It is great to know that about 19,372 children underwent training in this programme and I wholeheartedly congratulate every one”, he maintained.

He also requested Sri Chaganti to frame guidelines to observe “Shravana Pournami Managudi” programme in this August in a grand manner than the earlier ones. “See that this programme is unique and reach the masses in a wider manner”, he said.
