TIRUPATI, MAY 5:  In connection with the birth anniversaries of the legendary saint poetess and poet, Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba and Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya, TTD EO Sri MG Gopal on Monday released their respective Jayanthi posters in his chambers.

Addressing the occasion, the EO said, there will be two day special devotional programmes in Tirupati, Tirumala and Tarigonda in view of the 284th Birth Anniversary of Vengamamba on 12th and 13th of May. On the second day, the Lord and His consorts will reach the Narayanagiri Gardens where unjal seva is performed. The pontiff of Vasisthashrama Sri Sri Sri Swaroopanandagiri Swamy will render Anugraha Bhashanam followed by Pushpanjali in Vengamamba Ghat at Brindavan in Tirumala. There will also be special cultural programmes with the artistes of Annamacharya, Vengamamba and HDPP projects in this connection, he added.

The EO also said, in connection with the 606 Jayanthi celebrations of Saint Poet Sri Annamacharya who penned over 32thousand keetans to his credit in praise of Lord Venkateswara, TTD will be observing three day festival from 14 to 16 of May in Tirupati, Tirumala and at Tallapaka which happens to be the native village of the legendary saint poet in Kadapa. Srinivasa Kalyanam will be performed in the Dhyan Mandir at Tallapaka and also tributes will be paid to the 108-feet tall statue of Annamacharya. There will be community singing, cultural programmes etc. organised by the Annamacharya Project of TTD.
