VIGILANCE DAY OBSERVED IN TTD

Tirupati, 1 November 2014: TTD EO Sri MG Gopal on Saturday called upon the vigilance sleuths of TTD to learn and utilise the new methodologies and techniques of security gadgets to provide the security cover to Srivari temple as well to the multitude of visiting devotees.

The Vigilance Day is organized by TTD Vigilance and Security Wing following the call of Central Vigilance Commission which has been observing week long Vigilance Day starting from October 25 to November 1.

Addressing the Vigilance sleuths at SVETA Bhavan in Tirupati the EO said, Vigilance wing is the eye of TTD. “You should be always and alert and cautious in discharging duties since the famous temple of Lord Venkateswara is being visited by millions and millions of devotees across the world every day. You should act as a protective cover to these devotees during the time of emergencies. For this you need to develop state-of-art technology in arms and gadgets also”, he added.

Earlier, TTD In-Charge CV & SO Sri G Srinivasulu said, TTD is now equipped with modern gadgets and is prepared to meet any sort of contingencies. “We have now installed 14 formats of advanced vigilance techniques and computerized them for the sake of our vigilance sleuths. These programmes will help to put an end to dalari system and enhance transparency in administration also”, he added.

Tirupati Urban SP Sri Gopinath Jetti said, the entire world looks at Tirumala, as it is a world famous happening pilgrim centre. “So you should be always alert in discharging your duties”, he maintained.

Later Gold Medals, Silver medals, momentos, meritorious certificates have been awarded to the vigilance sleuths accordingly for discharging their duties in an efficient way.
