Tirumala, 5 Jun. 20: Joint Executive Officer, Sri P Basant Kumar said on Friday that TTD would initiate vigilance enquiry on those employees who resorted to activities damaging the devotees sentiments and reputation of the TTD institution.
He was participating in a media conference at Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala along with Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal and Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
He said there was a malafide campaign recently with regard to a public auction of some TTD immovable properties and an article in the Sapthagiri magazine.
To put an end to such motivated campaigns, the TTD Board had decided to publish a white paper on the affairs of all TTD properties on March 28. Even before the report is being readied, the details were telecasted by an electronic media channel on May 30 and 31.
Similarly, the vigilance department is also directed to conduct an enquiry against the publication of an article in the Sapthagiri magazine in April this year. Though the same article was rejected in 2016-17, it was published in 2020 April edition raking up a new controversy. Even before the book is released in the market, it was somehow procured by some which has given scope to raise controversy.
On these two episodes vigilance enquiry is on and severe action will be taken against them if proved guilty, he maintained.
