MYTHOLOGICAL THEMES IN VEG CARVING STEALS THE SHOW

Tirumala, 18 March 2018: The Telugu New Year Sri Vilambi Nama Ugadi was celebrated with utmost religious fervour in the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Sunday.

After the pre-dawn rituals, the utsava murthies of Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by Sridevi and Bhudevi on His either side, accompanied by Sri Viswaksena-the coomander-in-chief of Lord were brought to Bangaru Vakili and seated opposite Garudalwar.

On the side the Jiyangars were seated while the TTD officials, temple staff on the other side.

NEW VASTRAMS TO LORD

The Jiyangar Swamijis carried six new silk vastrams over head and circumambulated the Vimana Prakaram and offered the clothes to both the presiding as well as the processional deities.

Among these six clothes, four were offered to Mula Virat. The remaining two were brought to Garudalwar Sannidhi where asthanam was performed. One vastram was decorated to Sri Malayappa while another to Viswaksena. Later Asthanam was performed.

PANCHANGA SRAVANAM

The Asthana Purana Siddhanti rendered Panchanga Sravanam in Sri Vilambi Nama Ugadi.

“LACCHANNA KEYS” AT THE LORD’S FEET

After the Panchanga Sravanam, the bunch of keys belonging to the treasury of Lord known as “Lacchanna Keys” were given to both Tirumala Peeda Jiyangar and Chinna Jiyangar Swamijis and later placed at the lotus feet of Lord Malayappa seeking His benign blessings.

“RUPAI HARATI” OFFERED

During Asthanam “Rupai Harati” was rendered and the officials who were present offered coins and currency notes the Harati plate. Later in the presence of the administrative head of TTD, the Executive Officer, the collections were counted and accounted to temple coffers.

After the Asthanam, prasadam was distributed.

FLORAL AND VEGETABLE ART EXPO

The mythological themes erected by the Garden wing of TTD inside and outside the Tirumala temple, stood as a special attraction on the festive occasion.

TTD started the floral decors with mythological themes about 15years ago in Tirumala temple for Ugadi.

This year the vegetable carving remained a cynosure as the themes of “Venkateswara Mahatyam” in watermelon at Dhwajastambham and Varaha Swamy with various types of vegetables outside Aina Mahal were well shaped up attracting pilgrims.

Outside the temple adjacent to Golla Mandapam, the Garden wing has set up floral themes of elephant, Radha Krishna etc.

The devotees were seen capturing the art in their mobile phones the whole day.

TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, CVSO Sri A Ravi Krishna, DyEO Sri Harindranath, GM Transport Sri Sesha Reddy and other temple staffs were also present.

తిరుమల శ్రీవారి ఆలయంలో వైభవంగా ఉగాది వేడుకలు

మార్చి 18, తిరుమల 2018: తెలుగు నూతన సంవత్సరాది అయిన శ్రీ విళంబినామ ఉగాది వేడుకలు తిరుమల శ్రీవారి ఆలయంలో ఆదివారం వైభవంగా జరిగాయి.

శ్రీవారి ఆలయంలో ఉదయం 7.00 నుండి 9.00 గంటల నడుమ ఉగాది ఆస్థానం ఆగమోక్తంగా జరిగింది. ఇందులో భాగంగా శ్రీవారి ఉత్సవర్లను శ్రీవారి ఆలయంలోని బంగారువాకిలిలో సర్వభూపాల వాహనంపై గరుడాళ్వారుకు అభిముఖంగా ఆశీనులను చేశారు. శ్రీవారి ఉత్సవర్ల పక్కనే మరో పఠంపై స్వామివారి సర్వసైన్యాధ్యక్షులు శ్రీ విష్వక్సేనులనవారిని వేంచేపు చేశారు. బంగారు వాకిలిలో ఆగమ పండితులు, అర్చకులు ఉగాది ఆస్థానాన్ని శాస్త్రోక్తంగా నిర్వహించారు. ఈ పర్వదినం సందర్భంగా శ్రీవారి మూలవిరాట్టుకు మరియు ఉత్సవ మూర్తులకు నూతన వస్త్రాలను అలంకరించారు. ఆస్థానం అయిన తరువాత పండితులు పంచాంగ శ్రవణం నిర్వహించారు. శ్రీ విళంబినామ సంవత్సరంలో దేశ కాల, ఋతు పరిస్థితులను, నక్షత్ర, రాశి, వారాది ఫలితాలను తెలియజేశారు. అనంతరం ప్రసాద నివేదనతో కార్యక్రమం ముగిపింది.

ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా ఫల – పుష్ప – కూరగాయల ఆకృతులు

ఉగాది పర్వదినాన్ని పురస్కరించుకొని టిటిడి ఉద్యానవన విభాగం ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఆలయం లోపల ఆపిల్‌, ద్రాక్ష, బత్తయి, సపోటా, నారింజ, దానిమ్మ, కర్బూజ, మొక్కజొన్న, మామిడి, చెరకు వంటి విభిన్న రకాల పండ్ల గుత్తులు, అపురూపమైన ఉత్తమజాతి పుష్పాలతో భూలోక వైకుంఠంగా శ్రీవారి ఆలయాన్ని ఆకర్షణీయంగా రూపొందించారు. శ్రీవారి ఆలయంలో ధ్వజస్థంభం చెంత పుచ్చకాయలతో ఆకర్షణీయంగా చెక్కిన శ్రీ వేంకటేశ్వర మహత్యం ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచింది.

అదేవిధంగా ఆలయం బయట వివిధ రకాల పుష్పాలతో పూర్ణకుంభం, అశ్వరథంలో రాధకృష్ణులు, నవనీత చిన్ని కృష్ణుడు, ఐరావతం వంటి సెట్టింగులు భక్తులను విశేషంగా ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. ఆలయం వెలుపల భక్తులు తమ చరవాణిలలో ఫలపుష్ప ఆకృతులతో ఫోటోలు దిగుతూ ఉల్లాసంగా గడిపారు.
