WHEN DIVINE BEAUTY DONS UP AS UNIVERSAL CELESTIAL BEAUTY

Tiruchanoor, 30 Nov. 16: The Fifth day of the nine-day annual brahmotsavams of Tiruchanoor was caught in the magical wave of divine beauty, as the Goddess Padmavathi Devi donned the Avatar of “Universal Celestial Beauty” Mohini taking a colourful ride on the finely decked Palanquin.

SIGNIFICANCE: Holding a parrot in one of her hands, wearing Sun and Moon gods as head jewellery in her unique braid, wearing dazzling gold jewels studded with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphire, pearls and corals, the Goddess looked more attractive and stunning than ever as “Mohini”.
Through this guise, the Goddess preaches the devotees that the entire world is caught in the veil of “Maya” and do not crave for worldly pleasures. This Avatar sends message on how to control ones desires and senses.
