Tirumala,22 August 2023: In its urge to provide a pilgrim-friendly environment to the multitude of visiting devotees to Tirumala temple from across the country and overseas, TTD has ventured into yet another pro-devotee initiative, this time with the automation and digitalization of Luggage Management System.
Briefing the same to media at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala along with the CV&SO of TTD Sri Narasimha Kishore on Tuesday, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy said the new system is named as Balaji Baggage Management System(BBMS) has been developed for easy deposit and faster retrieval of luggage and mobile phones of devotees coming for Srivari Darshan.
The EO said some devotees carried mobile phones hiding in their pockets while going for darshan in view of delay in deposit process. But now the new system has addressed the problem with more finesse and transparency to the satisfaction of devotees”, he maintained.
Elaborating further, the EO said in the new system the Darshan tickets will be scanned and automatically saved along with details of their luggage and mobile phones and for those without Darshan tickets their goods are scanned and a RFID code is generated with QR code receipt. Similarly for mobile deposit, devotees’ Aadhar details are gathered along with Srivari Darshan tickets and QR code and receipt are given.
Since the luggage vehicles have a GPS link the devotees get a SMS on time of arrival of their luggage. When the receipts are scanned at the Display kiosks in front of luggage counter, the luggage availability is indicated immediately at the luggage centres with colour coding system and they are loaded on trolleys and sent to counters.
The new system is under operation since a month and on a day about 60,000 mobiles and 40,000 baggages are deposited and delivered in a hassle free manner through 44 counters in 16 centres.
TTD EO said special deposit centres were installed at ₹.300 Darshan ticket counters, Divya Darshan, Sarva Darshan, Supatham, Srivari Mettu, Alipiri check points. While TTD has installed 20 counters at common luggage centres, 06 counters at GNC, 02 at TBC for retrieval purpose.
TTD CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore said the entire system was commissioned with the support of donors under the guidance of TTD EO. He said, donor Sri Venugopal V Kota of Bengaluru had donated ₹1 crore Software, Sri Vedanta, Somasekhar, CEO of M/s Track-It, Hyderabad has given ₹.17 lakhs to develop the software application and Sri Jose Charles Martin, MD of M&C Property Development Private Limited from Chennai donated ₹2 crore towards hardware.
CVSO INSPECTS GNC LUGGAGE COUNTER
After the media interaction the CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore inspected the luggage deposit centre at GNC and interacted with devotees on the process to understand the location of their luggage after scanning their luggage receipt in the Kiosk.
VGOs Sri Bali Reddy, Sri Giridhar Rao, AVSO Sri Satish and other vigilance and security officials were present.

ఈ సంద‌ర్భంగా ఈవో మాట్లాడుతూ మొబైల్ ఫోన్ల‌ను డిపాజిట్ చేస్తే తిరిగి తీసుకోవ‌డం ఆల‌స్య‌మ‌వుతుంద‌ని భావించి కొంద‌రు భక్తులు త‌మ వెంట ఫోన్ల‌ను శ్రీవారి ఆల‌యంలోకి తీసుకెళ్లేందుకు ప్ర‌య‌త్నిస్తున్నార‌ని చెప్పారు. ప్రస్తుత విధానంలో లగేజి గానీ, మొబైల్ ఫోన్లు, ఇత‌ర ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ వ‌స్తువుల‌ను డిపాజిట్ చేస్తే ఎక్కువ సమయం వేచి ఉండ‌కుండా సులభంగా తిరిగి పొంద‌వ‌చ్చ‌న్నారు. నూత‌న విధానంలో భక్తులు లగేజి కౌంటర్ వద్దకు చేరుకోగానే వారి వద్ద ఉన్న దర్శన టికెట్ ను స్కాన్ చేసి వాటి వివరాలు ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ డివైస్ లో ఆటోమేటిక్ గా నిక్షిప్తం చేయడం జరుగుతుంద‌న్నారు. దర్శన టికెట్ లేని భక్తులకు వారి వివరాలు, పేరు నమోదు చేసుకుని బ్యాగ్ కు ఆర్ఎఫ్ఐడి నిక్షిప్తమైన ట్యాగ్ ను టైప్ క్లిప్ ద్వారా జతపరిచి ఆటోమేటిక్ జనరేటెడ్ క్యూఆర్ కోడ్ రసీదును ఇస్తార‌ని చెప్పారు. అదేవిధంగా మొబైల్ డిపాజిట్ సమయంలో దర్శనటికెట్, ఆధార్, భక్తుల వివరాలు సేకరిస్తార‌ని వివ‌రించారు. ఆ తరువాత వారి మొబైల్ ను భద్రంగా పౌచ్‌లో ఉంచి వాటిని క్యూఆర్ కోడ్‌కు అనుసంధానం చేసి భక్తులకు రసీదు అందజేస్తార‌ని తెలిపారు.
లగేజీ వాహనాలకు జిపిఎస్ అమర్చడం వల్ల భక్తులకు వారి లగేజ్ చేరు సమయం మెసేజ్ రూపంలో అందుతుంద‌న్నారు. అదేవిధంగా లగేజీ కౌంటర్ బయట ఉన్న డిస్ ప్లే కియోస్కుల ద్వారా రసీదులను స్కాన్ చేస్తే లగేజి చేరినదో లేదో తెలియజేస్తుంద‌ని చెప్పారు. వాహనం ద్వారా లగేజీ తిరిగిచ్చు కేంద్రాలకు లగేజీ చేరుకోగానే ట్రాలీ సహాయంతో కలర్ కోడింగ్ విధానంతో కౌంటర్లకు పంపుతార‌ని వివ‌రించారు. భక్తుల రసీదును ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ డివైస్ ద్వారా స్కాన్ చేయడంతో వారి మొబైల్, లగేజీ భద్రపరిచిన సెల్ఫ్ రాక్ నెంబర్ తెలుస్తుంద‌ని, తద్వారా సులభంగా లగేజి పొందవచ్చ‌ని తెలిపారు.
నూత‌న విధానం ఒక నెల నుండి అమ‌ల‌వుతోంద‌ని, ప్రతిరోజు 60 వేల మొబైల్ ఫోన్లు, 40 వేలకు పైగా బ్యాగులను డిపాజిట్, డెలివరీ చేయడం జరుగుతోంద‌ని వివ‌రించారు. ప్రస్తుత విధానంలో 16 కేంద్రాల ద్వారా 44 కౌంటర్లలో ఈ ప్రక్రియ జరుగుతోంద‌న్నారు. 300 రూపాయల ప్రత్యేక ప్రవేశ దర్శనం, దివ్యదర్శనం, సర్వదర్శనం, సుపథం, శ్రీవారి మెట్టు, అలిపిరి వద్ద డిపాజిట్ కేంద్రాలు ఏర్పాటు చేశామ‌న్నారు. అదేవిధంగా కామన్ లగేజ్ కేంద్రాల వద్ద 20 కౌంటర్లు, జిఎన్సి వద్ద 6 కౌంటర్లు, టీబీసీ వద్ద 2 లగేజీ తిరిగి ఇచ్చే కేంద్రాలను ఏర్పాటు చేశామ‌ని తెలిపారు.
సివిఎస్వో శ్రీ నరసింహ కిషోర్ మాట్లాడుతూ ఈ నూత‌న విధానంలో సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్‌ కోసం బెంగ‌ళూరుకు చెందిన దాత శ్రీ వేణుగోపాల్ దాదాపు ఒక కోటి రూపాయ‌లు, హైద‌రాబాద్‌కు చెందిన ట్రాక్ ఇట్ సంస్థ సిఈవో శ్రీ వేదాంతం సోమ‌శేఖ‌ర్ రూ.17 ల‌క్ష‌లు, హార్డ్‌వేర్ కోసం చెన్నైకి చెందిన శ్రీ చార్లెస్ మార్టిన్ రూ.2 కోట్లు విరాళంగా అందించిన‌ట్టు వెల్ల‌డించారు. లగేజి, మొబైళ్ల డిపాజిట్, డెలివ‌రీని ఒకే చోట చేసేందుకు ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తున్న‌ట్టు తెలిపారు.
