DEITIES OFFERED FLORAL BATH WITH THREE TONNES OF FLOWERS
HYDERABAD, 15 OCTOBER 2022: The devotees were spellbound with the colourful Pushpayagam-the unique ritual performed with varieties of flowers to the Utsava deities which was observed in a splendid manner at Hyderabad as part of the ongoing Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams.
On the last day morning on Saturday, the deities of Srivaru, Sridevi and Bhudevi are seated on a special platform and were rendered a floral bath with a range of varieties of flowers both ornamental and traditional.
In Tirumala, this ceremony is usually performed after the annual Brahmotsavam on the asterism of Sravanam which also happens to be the birth star of Lord Venkateswara, usually in the month of Krittika as per Hindu calendar which falls either in October or November.
As per the scriptures, this festival is usually performed to save the earth from natural calamities such as quakes, cyclones, epidemics and appease the Lord to save the life of humanity, flora and fauna from all the catastrophes. This festival, which was in vogue in the 15th Century, was reinstated by TTDs in the 1980s.
Scores of devotees participated in this unique Yagam. The archakas recited Sri Vishnu Gayatri Mantram for 108 times and invoked the blessings of Pulludu-the deity of Pushpa Yagam to bless the devotees from all the catastrophes.
About three tonnes of 12 varieties of flowers and sacred leaves were used in Pushpa Yagam which included roses, lotuses, chrysanthemum, lilies, Panner leaves, Tulsi leaves etc. The event was carried out amidst chanting of vedic mantras. The entire premises was filled with the aroma of the sacred flowers offered to the deities.
All the donors and TTD officials were present at the event that was held between 8.30am and 10.30am.

హైదరాబాద్, 2022 అక్టోబరు 15: హైదరాబాద్‌లో టిటిడి నిర్వహిస్తున్న శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వర వైభవోత్సవాల్లో భాగంగా ఐద‌వ రోజైన శ‌నివారం ఉదయం నిర్వహించిన పుష్పయాగానికి విశేషంగా భక్తులు తరలివచ్చారు. సుగంధాల్ని వెదజల్లే రంగు రంగుల పుష్పాలు, పత్రాలతో ఈ పుష్పారాధన వేడుకగా జరిగింది. పుష్పార్చన జరుగుతుండగా శ్రీదేవి, భూదేవి సమేత శ్రీ శ్రీనివాసస్వామివారి ముగ్ధమనోహర రూపాన్ని భక్తులు దర్శించుకున్నారు.
శ్రీవారి నమూనా ఆలయంలో ఉదయం 6 గంటలకు సుప్రభాతం, 6.30 నుంచి 7.30 గంటల వరకు తోమాలసేవ, కొలువు, 7.30 నుంచి 8.15 గంటల వరకు అర్చన, 8.15 నుంచి 8.30 గంటల వరకు నివేదన, శాత్తుమొర నిర్వహించారు.
వేడుకగా పుష్పయాగం :
ఉత్సవాల్లో గానీ, నిత్యకైంకర్యాల్లో గానీ అర్చక పరిచారకులు , అధికార అనధికారులు , భక్తుల వల్ల తెలియక ఏవైనా లోపాలు జరిగి ఉంటే వాటికి ప్రాయశ్చిత్తంగా పుష్పయాగం నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ యాగం నిర్వహణ వల్ల సమస్తదోషాలు తొలగిపోతాయని విశ్వాసం .
ఇందులో భాగంగా అర్చకులు 108 సార్లు విష్ణుగాయత్రి మంత్రాన్ని పఠించి పుష్పాలకు అధిపతి అయిన పుల్లుడు అనే దేవున్ని ప్రసన్నం చేసుకున్నారు. ఇలా చేయడం వల్ల ప్రకృతిమాత పులకించి ఎలాంటి వైపరీత్యాలు తలెత్తకుండా స్వామివారు కరుణిస్తారని నమ్మకం. ప్రకృతి వైపరీత్యాల నుంచి భక్తులను కాపాడాలని శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వరస్వామివారిని ప్రార్థిస్తూ భూమాతను ప్రసన్నం చేసుకునేందుకు శ్రీవైష్ణవాలయాలలో పుష్పయాగం నిర్వహిస్తారు.
ఉదయం 8.30 నుండి 10.30 గంటల వరకు అర్చకుల వేదమంత్రోచ్ఛారణలు, మంగళవాయిద్యాల నడుమ పుష్పయాగం వైభవంగా జరిగింది. తులసి, చామంతి, గన్నేరు, మొగలి, సంపంగి, రోజా, కలువలు వంటి 12 రకాల పూలు, ఆరు రకాల ఆకులు కలిపి మొత్తం మూడు టన్నుల పుష్పాలతో స్వామి, అమ్మవార్లకు యాగం నిర్వహించారు. ఆద్యంతం శోభాయమానంగా సాగిన ఈ పుష్పయాగ మహోత్సవాన్ని చూసి భక్తులు తన్మయత్వం చెందారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా వేద పండితులు రుగ్వేదం, శుక్లయజుర్వేదం, కృష్ణ యజుర్వేదం, సామవేదం, అధర్వణ వేదాలను పఠించారు. చివరగా నక్షత్ర హారతి ఇచ్చారు.
అనంతరం టిటిడి గార్డెన్ డెప్యూటీ డైరెక్టర్ శ్రీ శ్రీనివాసులును దాతలు సన్మానించారు.
