TIRUMALA, 05 SEPTEMBER 2023: The TTD Trust Board headed by the Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy held its maiden meeting at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday. In its first meeting, the TTD board had taken several unique decisions to promote Hindu Sanatana Dharma in a big way to attract youth in the Bhakti path.
Highlights of the TTD board meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan are as follows.
VIP Break Darshan facility to youth of 25 years and below along with their families who write “Govinda Koti” as in the style of Ramakoti.
One-time Darshan facility to those (below 25 years) who write Govinda Namavali for 10,01,116 times.
Distribute One Crore copies of Bhagavad Gita books to 1 crore students of LKG to PG.
The Honourable AP CM presented Official Pattu Vastrams to Sri Venkateswara Swami during annual Brahmotsavam on September 18 on Dwajarohanam day and also releases the TTD Calendars and Diaries of 2024.
TTD to invest ₹300 crores each for constructing Achyutham and Sripatham Pilgrim Amenities Complexes(PACs) in the place of existing 2,3 Choultries behind Tirupati Railway Station which are over seven decades old buildings. These two PACs will accommodate nearly 20thousand pilgrims.
The board has resolved to increase the ex-gratia amount of Rs.5lakhs to Rs.10lakhs to the six year old deceased Lakshita who was killed in Leopard attack.
TTD to build another Srivari temple at Bandra at ₹1.65 crore and Information Centre at ₹5.35 crore. The entire amount will be donated by the Trust Board members of TTD
Board approved to construct the folk Goddess temple of Moolasthana Ellamma in Chandragiri at ₹2 core cost.
₹49.5 crore granted for the repairs of TTD employees quarters.
Government approval sought for filling up 413 vacancies of religious staff including Archakas, Paricharikas, Prasadam Distributors, Potu workers in TTD.
Nod given to fill up 300 posts in the Super Specialty Paediatric Hospital which includes 29 Specialist Doctors, 08 Duty Doctors,15 Administrative Staff, 07 Paramedical, 241 staff from SLSMPC
₹2.46 crore sanction given for purchase of medicines and equipment in TTD hospitals.
Board grants 47 teachers posts at TTD-run Veda Pathashalas.
₹33 crore allocated towards the construction of roads and infrastructure near the housing sites allotted to TTD employees at Padiredu Aranyam village. Later this amount will be repaid by the employees.
₹4.15 crore allocated for development works of TTD employees quarters at Keshavayanagunta, Bairagipatteda, Vaikunthapuram, LS Nagar.
For keeping the environs clean during the twin brahmotsavams an amount of Rs.32.73lakhs sanctioned to deploy additional sanitary workers
Road Development works in Tirupati in the larger interests of pilgrims visiting Tirumala
Construction of BT Road from YSR Marg to Samavai Marg along with the Eastern Side of Srinivasam PAC in Tirupati
Widening of existing 80ft Master Plan Road to an extent of 2.90km from RTO Junction in Karakambadi Road to Sri Padmavathi Flour mill in Renigunta
Development of Road (balance length of 1.135km) from Hero Showroom in Renigunta Road to Tiruchanoor Road near Hotel Grand Ridge near Tirupati
Financial assistance or interest free loan to the TMC for laying of 1100mm dia balance MS pipeline between MD Puttur to Mangalam Pumping Station including the enhancement of Pumping machinery to Municipal Corporation of Tirupati. This decision will provide supply of 20MLD of water to TTD run hospitals in Tirupati at 50% subsidy
Financial assistance to the TMC for laying of 600mm dia DWC pipeline from SVIMS to Panchamukha Anjaneya Swamy temple via Town Club
LET’S SERVE DEVOTEES WITH DEDICATION-TTD CHAIRMAN
The 53rd Chairman of TTD Trust Board Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy during his welcome address before the commencement of the maiden board meeting at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday urged the members to dedicate themselves in the service of devotees by making the best use of the divine opportunity enhancing the reputation of the institution among the public and up keeping the trust of the Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
“After 17 years I got another opportunity to serve the Universal Lord Sri Venkateswara by rendering services to His multitude of devotees across the globe. Usually the devotees crave to get a glimpse of the Lord at least once in their lifetime. Srivaru has given us this divine opportunity to serve Him by offering sincere services to His devotees which we should make use to the extent possible by taking up Hindu Sanatana Dharma activities in a widespread manner”, he maintained.
Later, a one-hour documentary on TTD was displayed about TTD and its wide range of religious-socio-educationl-welfare-medical and development activities for the information of the board members.
Besides all the new board members who have sworn in, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, Endowments Special Chief Secretary Sri Karikala Valavan, Endowments Commissioner Sri Satyanarayana, other top brass officials of TTD were also present.
CONDEMNS CRITICISM
While replying to a query posed by a reporter during the press conference, the TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakar Reddy on Tuesday condemned the criticism on Sanatana Hindu Dharma by Tamilnadu Minister Sri Udayanidhi Stalin.
He said Sanatana Dharma is not a religion but a lifestyle and is not related to any one particular caste or sect. These remarks would hurt the sentiments of people and disturb the peace in the society. He also cautioned that comments from people holding such high positions on Sanatana dharma are unwarranted and inappropriate.
