TEMPLE CITY REVERBERATED TO THE SLOGANS OF “HARA HARA MAHADEVA ”

SEA OF HUMANITY TURNED OUT SRI KT FOR MAHA SIVARATRI

Tirupati, 24 February 2017: All roads in the temple city of Tirupati lead to the famous shrine of Lord Sri Kapileswara Swamy on the auspicious occasion of Mahasivarathri on Friday.

It has been a hectic day on Friday, as the temple city echoed with the chants of
“Hara Hara Mahadeva Sambho Shankara” .

SARVA DARSHAN COMMENCED AT 2:30am

The ancient temple of Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple witnessed heavy turn out of pilgrim crowd from the wee hours itself. Anticipating the heavy rush, TTD has cancelled all other arjitha sevas and commenced sarvadarshanam to devotees from 2:30am itself. The devotees were allowed even during Suprabhatam and Abhishekam. The darshan continued till late night hours.

Lingodhbhavam was also observed in the midnight with special abhishekam which lasted till the wee hours on Saturday.

EO, JEO INSPECTIONS

In the wake of heavy turn out of devout, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar inspected and personally monitored the arrangements at regular intervals. The gave instructions to all HoDs to see that pilgrims are not put to any sort of inconvenience.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS

Temple management has made elaborate arrangements of security for crowd management. Over 100 Srivari Seva volunteers were also deployed to streamline the swelling queue lines. The Annaprasadam and health wings have also made special food and water arrangements for the occasion.

On the other hand the spiritual programs organised by HDPP in the temple premises for this auspicious occasion attracted the pilgrim devout.

NANDI VAHANA SEVA:

The procession of the most important Nandi Vahana Seva took place in the evening, with the processional deity of Lord Sri Soma Skandamurthy along with Goddess Kamakshi Devi taking celestial ride on the mighty Nandi Vahanam along the streets of Tirupati.

CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, SE Sri Ramesh Reddy, Temple DyEO Sri Subramanyam, Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, AVSO Sri Gangaraju supervised the arrangements for the entire day.
