TEMPLE GETS TRADITIONALLY CLEANSED FOR BRAHMOTSAVAMS_ శ్రీవారి ఆలయంలో ఘనంగా కోయిల్‌ ఆళ్వార్‌ తిరుమంజనం
Tirumala, 19 September 2017: The traditional fete, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was observed in Tirumala temple on Tuesday. This fete marks the cleansing of the entire temple premises before the commencement of the grand nine day celestial fete, annual brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara.
SIGNIFICANCE
Koil means ‘Holy Shrine’. Tirumanjanam is cleansing. The main purpose of performing Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam is Purification of sanctum sanctorum and temple premises. This is performed four times in a year before Telugu Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, Annual Brahmotsavams and Vaikunta Ekadasi.
Cleaning the temple premises provides an aesthetic atmosphere to all the devotees and enhance the spiritual environment.
ALL THE DEITIES AND PUJA UTENSILS CLEANED
During the ceremony all the Murtis and other articles are removed from sanctum sanctorum and the Mula Murti is covered with water-proof covering. The entire Garbhalayam, including floors, ceilings and walls are then cleaned and brushed well with plenty of water.
PARIMALAM MIXTURED SMEARED
The whole place is then smeared with Vermilion, Turmeric, Camphor, Sandal paste, Saffron, Kichiligadda mixture which acts as disinfectant. The covering on the main deity is then removed and other deities, deepam and puja articles are replaced inside. Purification pujas and Naivedyams are the offered to the deity and then pilgrims are allowed for darshan.
ASTADALA PADA PADMARADHANA CANCELLED
In view of this celestial fete, the temple management has cancelled astadala pada padmaradhana seva on Tuesday.

సెప్టెంబర్‌ 19, తిరుమల, 2017 : శ్రీవారి సాలకట్ల బ్రహ్మూెత్సవాలు సెప్టెంబరు 23 నుండి అక్టోబరు 1వ తేదీ వరకు జరుగనున్న నేపథ్యంలో శ్రీవారి ఆలయంలో మంగళవారంనాడు కోయిల్‌ ఆళ్వార్‌ తిరుమంజనం ఘనంగా జరిగింది.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఉదయం 6.00 నుండి 10.00 గంటల వరకు కోయిల్‌ ఆళ్వార్‌ తిరుమంజనం నిర్వహించారు. ఇందులో మొదటగా గర్భాలయం, ఉప ఆలయాలు, పోటులోని గోడలు, పైకప్పు, పూజాసామగ్రి తదితర వస్తువులను నీటితో శుద్ధి చేశారు. ఆ తరువాత నామకోపు, శ్రీచూర్ణం, కస్తూరి పసుపు, పచ్చాకు, గడ్డ కర్పూరం, గంధం పొడి, కుంకుమ, కిచిలిగడ్డ తదితర సుగంధ ద్రవ్యాలు కలగలిపిన పవిత్ర తిరుమంజనాన్ని ఆలయం అంతటా పూశారు. ఉదయం 10.25 గంటల నుండి భక్తులను సర్వదర్శనానికి అనుమతించారు.
సాధారణంగా సంవత్సరంలో నాలుగు సార్లు ఈ కోయిల్‌ ఆళ్వార్‌ తిరుమంజనాన్ని నిర్వహించడం ఆనవాయితీ. ఉగాది, ఆణివార ఆస్థానం, బ్రహ్మూెత్సవం, వైకుంఠ ఏకాదశి పర్వదినాల ముందు మంగళవారం ఆలయశుద్ధి కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహిస్తారు. కోయిల్‌ ఆళ్వార్‌ తిరుమంజనాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని అష్టదళ పాదపద్మారాధన సేవను టిటిడి రద్దు చేసింది.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో టిటిడి ఈవో శ్రీ అనిల్‌కుమార్‌ సింఘాల్‌, డిఐజి శ్రీ ప్రభాకరరావు, తిరుమల జెఈవో శ్రీ కె.ఎస్‌.శ్రీనివాసరాజు, సివిఎస్‌వో శ్రీ ఆకె రవికృష్ణ, విజివోలు శ్రీ రవీంద్రారెడ్డి, శ్రీమతి సదాలక్ష్మి, శ్రీవారి ఆలయ డెప్యూటీ ఈవో శ్రీ కోదండరామారావు ఇతర అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
