ABHIDHYEYAKA ABHISHEKAM COMMENCES IN TIRUMALA TEMPLE

LORD BLESSES DEVOTEES IN VAJRA KAVACHAM ON FIRST DAY

Tirumala, 17 June 2016: The three-day annual Jyestha Abhishekam, off to a religious start in the Tirumala temple on Friday .

After performing Mahashanti Homam, the Satakalasa Tirumanjanam was performed to the processional deities of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sri Devi and Bhu Devi in the Sampangi Prakaram between 8am to 11am.

Later Visesha Vajra Kavacha Samarpana was performed to the deities and after Sahasra Kalasabhishekam, the Lord was taken around in a procession in four mada streets and blessed devotees in the dazzling Vajra Kavacham.

TTD has cancelled Nija Pada Seva and Vasanthotsavam in connection with this festival.

TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar, Temple DyEO Sri Rama Rao, Peishkar R Selvam and devotees took part.
