ALARMELU MANGA UTSAVAMS OFF TO A CEREMONIOUS START WITH DHWAJAROHANAM

Tiruchanoor, 26 November, 2016: The annual Navahnika Karthika Brahmotsavams of Goddess Padmavathi Devi of Tiruchanoor
commenced on a grand religious note with the ceremonious Dhwajarohanam on Saturday in the auspicious Vrischika lagnam.

DHWAJAROHANA MANDAPAM:

Earlier the processional deity of Goddess decked in silk clothes and dazzling jewels was seated on a special Asanam in the Mukha Mandapam. The preliminary Puja Vidhi including Gajapata Pratistha, Chayadhivasam, Chaya Snapanam, Netralminalam, Tatvanyasa Homam, Prana Pratistha Homam, Purnahuti were performed.

DHWAJAPATAM LIFTED ALOFT TEMPLE PILLAR:

While erecting Gaja Dhwaja Patham on temple pillar Gaja Dhyana Slokam, Gaja Mangalastakam, Garuda Gadyam, Aparadha Kshamapana mantras were recited by the temple priests.

After performing Viswaksenaradhana, Punyahavachanam, Arghyam, Padam, Achamaneeyam, the deities including Paravasudeva, Vishnu, Madhusudhana, Trivikrama, Vamana, Sreedhara, Hrishikesa, Padmanabha and Damodara were invoked.

DEITIES INVITED:

The priests invited the deities of all the 14 lokcas to this auspicious nine day fete reciting the respective mantras and appeasing them with their favourite ragas including Sri Ragam for Lord Kubera, Sankarabharanam for Lord Shiva like wise. Other ragas like Eka Ranjani, Malava Goula, Saveri, Kambhoji, Regupta, Pantuvarali, Kalyani, Bhupalam, Sourastra, Varali and many such ragas were rendered along with Triputa, Rupaka, Madhya, Aadi, Simhavikrama, Ananta, Nrusimha, Simhanada, Eka talams to invoke the blessings of the respective deities.

Later the holy cloth bearing the image of Gajam was lifted on to the temple pillar during the scheduled time at 7:45am in Vrischika Lagnam amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras, Melam, Nada Swaram.
