ALL SET FOR SUBHAPRADHAM

Tirupati, 11 May 2015: The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTDs) is all set for the fourth phase of Subhapradham which will commence in 60 centres across the states of AP and TS on May 13.

According to the Secretary of Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad(HDPP) Dr Prayaga Ramakrishna, TTD has appointed nodal officers for each centre to carry out the programme in a successful manner. He said in 2012 about 3201 students, in 2013 about 5000 and during last year about 19,876 students were given training through this programme. This year 15,580 boys and 13,473 girls will be given training during this week-long summer training programme with nearly 2654 resource persons across the two Telugu speaking states.

The HDPP chief also said, a sum of Rs.5cr approximately is being spent by TTD towards this noble programme and 50% of the rental and food charges are remitted to the accounts of District Dharma Prachara Mandalis of repsective districts and college authorities while the remaining 50% will be paid after 17th of May on receiving the total number of students attending the programme and the actual expenditure incurred till that date.

He also said, SMS to all the students have been dispatched and also the required material also reached the respective centres on Monday.

The Secretary said, in Chittoor district, the programme will be conducted in six colleges including SV Arts College, SGS Arts College, SV Jr College for Boys while SV Oreintal College, SPW Degree and PG college, SPW Jr College for girls. “This programme will be launched formally in all the centres by local dignitaries of the respective areas while in Chittoor district the inaugural function will be held in SV Arts College for Boys and SPW Degree and PG college for Girls”, he maintained.
