”MANAVA SEVE MADHAVA SEVA” IS UNVEILED BY SRIVARI SEVAKULU THROUGH THEIR SERVICES

Tirumala, 26 May 2017: Complimenting the Srivari Sevakulu for their impeccable services to multitude of visiting pilgrims to Tirumala and Tirupati, TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal directed the officials concerned to provide training to the volunteers in “Pranayama” also along with Satsang and Bhajans to enhance their quality of services.

The EO took part in his maiden Srivari Seva orientation meeting held at Asthana Mandapam in Tirumala on Friday along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju. Addressing the volunteers who hailed from AP, TS, TN, Karnataka and Maharastra, EO said, “With a view to offer better services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims who come from far-flung parts of the country, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has launched “SRIVARI SEVA” voluntary service during November, 2000.

“This unique programme started with just 195 volunteers and so far over 8.12 lakh pilgrims belonging to 39,449 teams have rendered Srivari Seva in Tirumala since its inception. Among them 5.37lakhs are female and 2.74lakhs are male volunteers. You are all doing commendable services to pilgrims in Tirumala and also in Tirupati”, he added.

The TTD Administrative Chief said, “As taught by Bhagavat Gita, Service is one of the best forms which enhance our level of patience giving up egos. Our services should not be limited to Tirumala or Tirupati alone. You should also render selfless services in your home places at least once in a week”, he added.

Citing the example of Gurudwara, the EO said, “Staffs are not specifically deployed for cleaning purpose in this pilgrim place. Here every pilgrim takes the responsibility of keeping the Gurudwara premises clean and tidy. We should also reach to that level and keep our temple premises clean”, he asserted.

Earlier Tirumala JEO has also complimented the services of Srivari Sevakulu, Scouts and Guides, Sri Satya Sai Seva Organisation for offering training to sevakulu.

TTD PRO Dr T Ravi, APRO Ms P Neelima, AEO Sri Gopal Rao and other office staffs were also present.
