ANKURARPANAM AT SRI PAT PAVITHROTSAVAM WITH RELIGIOUS FERVOR

Tiruchanoor, 13 September 2016: The Ankurarpanam will be performed this evening at Sri PAT Pavitrotsavam with religious fervor for the three day Pavitrotsavam from Sept 14-16

In the evening Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Visesha Puja, Senadhipathi utsavam and Ankurarpana will be performed from 6pm to 7.30pm

As per Hindu traditions entering temples during mourning periods etc is prohibited and the three day purification event of Pavitrotsavam is performed to ward off impact of such inadvertent happenings in the temple. Temple cleaning and also Punyahavachanam are also performed.

On Day one Sep 14 Pavitra Prathista, Pavitra samarpana on Sep 15 and on concluding day Sep 16 Purnahuthi rites will be performed. Interested devotees could participated in the holy event by paying Rs 750 (One adult for three days) and will be presented with Two laddus and 2 Vadas besides the begetting the of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru.

In view of the celebrations of Pavitrotsavam, TTD has suspended the Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva on Sep 14, Kalyanotsavam and Tiruppavada seva and Unjal seva on Sep 15 and Kalyanotsavam and Lakshmi Puja on Sep 16 at Sri PAT.

The HDPP, Annamacharya Project and Dasa Sahitya Project will organise daily bhakti music, hari katha on all the days of Pavitrotsavam.
