ANKURARPANAM PERFORMED FOR PUSHPAYAGAM IN APPALAYAGUNTA

Appalayagunta, 20 July 2016: As the flower festival of Pushpayagam is scheduled for July 21, Ankurarpanam has been performed with religious fervour in the famous temple of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy in Appalayagunta about 20km from here on wednesday evening.

Meanwhile Pushpayagam is usually performed after annual Brahmotsavam on the asterism of Sravanam which also happens to be the birth star of Lord Venkateswara.

The traditional Ankurarpanam was performed where in nine types of seeds were sowed in different mud pots in yaga shala for the religious event.
