ANNAMAIAH VARDHANTI OFF TO A COLOURFUL START

Tirupati, 4 April 2016: Rich tributes have been paid by TTD to Saint poet Tallapaka Annamacharya on his 513th Death Anniversary in Tirupati, Tirumala and also at Tallapaka in Kadapa district on Monday.

In Tirupati:

In Tirupati, metlotsavam was performed with grandeur by 1000 Bhajana troupes who trekked to Tirumala from Alipiri Padala Mandapam. Speaking on this occasion the TTD Trust board chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy said, the great poet has dedicated his entire life in service of Lord with his literary works and paid rich tributes in the form of Keertans to Lord. Following the spiritual path shown by such great people even TTD is also doing great works to promote ANnamacharya sankeertans.
Later Tirupati JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar said, Annamaiah not only sanctified his life but also became immortal with his impeccable sankeertans.

All projects DyEO Smt Sharada, Dasa project Chief Sri Anandateerthacharya, Editor in Chief Sri Samudrala lakshmanaiah, Telugu vangamaya project Dr Medasani Mohan and others were also present.

On the other hand Dinamu Dwadasi and Annamacharya Sankeertans were performed in Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati.

At Tallapaka:

While in Tallapaka procession was observed in the morning followed by rendering of sankeertans in the home town of the Saint poet in YSR Kadapa district.
Later in the evening Annamaiah sankeertanalu and Harikatha rendered at 108 feet statue of the Saint poet in Tallapaka in a big manner.
