GARUDA FLAG HOISTED IN THE AUSPICIOUS MEENA LAGNA

Srinivasa Mangapuram, 27 Feb. 16: The nine-day annual brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram off to a colourful start with Garuda Flag being hoisted on the temple pillar in the auspicious meena lagnam on Saturday.

After the ceremony, TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao said, already Rs.2.5cr developmental works are under way including the Mahaprakaram works in the temple while sanction orders are in process for another Rs.5cr works. “We are also sketching out plan to develop Srivari Mettu route with Rs.1.65cr. Even the frequency of luggage carrying vehicles has also been increased in the recent times for the sake of the pilgrims who trek this way”, he added.

While Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar invited pilgrims to take part in the nine-day religious fete in a big way. Garuda Seva is on March 2, Rathotsavam on March 5 and Chakrasnanam on March 6. We have made elaborate arrangements including illumination, floral decorations etc for the fete”, he added.

Temple Dyeo Sri Venkataiah, Additional CVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy were also present.
