AYURVEDA DISPENSARIES TREATED 10,000 ON GARUDA SEVA DAY- Prof DATTATREYA

Tirumala, 20 October 2015: The Sri Venkateswara Ayurvedic department had treated 10,000 patients on Garuda seva day and also reported a daily turn out of 1000 patients at its dispensaries and stalls on Tirumala during the Navaratri Brahmotsavams,says Prof.Dattarteya of the SV Ayurveda college.

Speaking to reporters at Media center he said there was a daily foot fall of 500-1000 devotees at the Herbal-Ayurveda- expo conducted by the TTD at the Exhibitions on the Papavinasam Road. “TTD has been organizing such Ayurveda expos since 1988 to spread awareness of the ancient knowledge and popularize its cost effective and pain free methodology.

He said the Ayurveda College and Hospital at Tirupati was one of the three such colleges functioning in Andhra Pradesh .Located in the SVIMS campus the ayurveda system was based on the Athrvana Veda .It offered the Pancha Karma Vidhanam – a 21 day treatment to patients against,diabetes and other ailments.All the raw materials needed for Ayurvedic medicine was procured from the huge gardens and plantations of TTD forests, he said.

He said the SV Ayurveda institutions were one of the best in the country which provided not only graduate degree but also masters and doctoral courses in Ayurveda and it had a fullledged 14 faculties.
