BALAMANDIR STUDENTS REMAIN CENTRE OF ATTRACTION

Tirumala, 14 February 2016: The two most important sanskrit slokas in Praise of Lord Sri Surya, “Aditya Hrudayam” and “SURYASTAKAM” rendered in rhythmic chorus by students of TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Balamandir, remained centre of attraction during Rathaspthami.

Under the instructions of TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, the students are specially trained in sanskrit slokas under the special supervision of All Projects Special Officer Sr N Muktheswara Rao.

During Brahmotsavams last, the students showcased their skills by excellent rendition of Srinivasa Gadyam while they have enthralled again today with the twin slokas of Lord Surya.

TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, CVSO Sri D Nagendra Kumar and other officers also lauded the students.

UNIQUE FEATURE: As soon as the students finished Aditya Hrudayam and Suryastakam, the first Rays of Sun fell on Surya Prabha Vahanam, much to the amusement of the pilgrim crowd.

BOOKS RELEASED: Meanwhile two books were released on this auspicious occasion in front of Surya Prabha Vahanam. Sri Vaikhanasa Bhagavachastro Nityarchana Vidhihi by Late Sri Kesavacharya and Surya Vaibhavam was penned by Dr Medasani Mohan.
