BEAUTIFICATION OF TIRUMALA BEGINS THROUGH PLANTATION

TIRUMALA, JUNE 12: With an idea to make the lush green cover of Tirumala more attractive in order to give an aesthetic feel to the multitude of visiting pilgrims, the garden wing of TTD has commenced the beautification of the hill town of Tirumala on Friday through the plantation of different varieties of annual flowering plants.

According to the Garden Department Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, the department has commenced the plantation over the instructions of TTD Executive Officer Dr D Samba Siva Rao. “In the next three months we will be planting one lakh plants and in the first phase 30thousand sapplings will be planted. We have commenced this work in the garden yard located in front of PAC II in Tirumala today. The new plantation programme will be carried out in a phased manner in all the garden yards located in Tirumala at GNC toll gate, Geeta Gardens, Namala Park etc. in the next three months”, he maintained.

Meanwhile, the garden department will be planting the unique flowering plant species of Getropa, Almanda, Tecoma and Ireshia which blooms beautiful red and yellow coloured flowers as they blossom.
