BHAJAN MELAS TO REVIVE HINDU DHARMA FROM GRASS ROOT LEVEL- PRAYAGA RAMAKRISHNA

Tirumala,October17:TTD is mulling to organize bhajan melas in remote areas to revive religious programs and lead the society in pious and righteous livelihood.

Declaring this at Media center today as part of daily briefings at Media center , Sri Prayaga Ramakrishna, the secretary of HDPP, said that there were nearly 7000 bhajan mandalis in APand TS and about 1000 others in other states. ‘ Since giving them all an opportunity at Brahmotsavams is a tough task, the Bhajan Melas are proposed to be held at important festivals in district centers and Tirumala.

He said during Brahmotsavams daily 40 teams of artists like classical music bhajan troupes, tappetagullu,drum beaters are performing in front of Vahanams. ‘On Garuda seva two new art forms like – Ring dancers and Killer dancers will perform at four mada streets.

He said TTD plans to take up Karthika Deepotsavam in Nov-Dec in a big way at five locations including Amaraavati, Tirumala, Bhadrachalam, Shilparamam (Hyderabad) and Mantralayam from Nov.16th.’The event is expected to bond the Hindu’s in societal activities.

As part of Pustaka Prasadam, HDPP had so far distributed 4 lakh books, on morals, biographies of great men, Lalitha Sahasranamam and Hanuman chalisa etc.
