“BHARAT IS SPIRITUAL GURU TO ENTIRE WORLD”-PONTIFFS

TIRUMALA, 31 Jul. 15: The pontiffs of various mutts advocated that, India remained chief spiritual Guru to the entire world since ages in preaching the tenets of Sanatana Dharma to lead a righteous life.

Gurupujotsavam was held at Asthana Mandapam in Tirumala on Friday under the aegis of Dasa Sahitya Project of TTD. The pontiffs, HH Sri Satyatma Teertha Swamy of Uttaradhi Mutt, HH Sri Vishvesha Teertha Swamy of Udupi Pejawar mutt and HH Sri Viswa Prasanna Teertha Swamy also of Pejawar Mutt delivered spiritual addresses on this auspicious occasion.

The PejawarMutt Senior seer, octogenarian Sri Vishvwsha Teertha in his address stated that the spirituality of India lies in six ‘G’s – Ganga, Gayatri, Gita, Govinda, Gaumata and Guru. “These are our strength and our Hindu Sanatana Dharma is continuing its legacy on these sic Gs”, he asserted.

In his address Sri Satyatma Teertha of Uttaradhi Mutt said, “Mother and Father gives us birth but it is the Guru who beings life and light in ones life by enlightening the mind and soul through valuable teachings. We are indebted to our parents till our last breath but we are indebted to our Guru, who has guided us the right path life, even after our death(or attaining Mukthi), he said.

The junior pontiff of Pejawar Mutt Sri Vishwa Prasanna Teertha Swamy said, the Dasa Gurus including Purandhara, Kanaka, Narayana etc. have continued the legacy of our ancient gurus by preaching good to the world through their Bhajans and Keertans.

Earlier TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy said, “In our Hindu Sanatana Dharma Guru is considered as the ultimate form of Trinity. “Our strength is what we have learnt from our Gurus”, he said.

Presiding over the spiritual occasion, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao said complimented the Dasa Sahitya Project Special Officer Sri Anandateerthacharyulu for organising the religious fete in a big way. “On this great occasion we have also commenced our new programme “Guru Bodha” with the preaching of the great seers of various mutts”, he observed.

Former TTD EO Sri PVRK Prasad who was the Chief Guest of the function said, the emergence of Dasa Sahitya Project took place about three and a half decades ago and today it has become a big religious movement in TTD with over 33000 Bhajan troupes across AP, Karnataka and Tamilandu.

TTD Trust Board members Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy, Sri DP Ananta were also present. Meanwhile over 5000 Dasas took part in this meet.
