CHANGE IN THE TIMINGS OF KUMKUMARCHANA TICKETS FROM JUNE 1

SRI PAT ALL SET FOR DRASTIC REVAMP ON THE LINES OF TIRUMALA

TIRUCHANOOR, MAY 29: The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTDs) is all set for a total revamp of the famous temple of Goddess Padmavathi Devi in Tiruchanoor on the lines of Tirumala temple for the convenience of the tens of thousands of visiting pilgrims.

Tirupati JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar who inspected the Kumkumarchana ticket counter which was shifted outside the temple on Friday evening said, keeping in view the long term goals, TTD has decided to bring some changes in the existing system for the sake of the pilgrims.

“From June 1 onwards, the Kumkumarchana tickets will be issued between 12:30pm to 4:30pm only in the counter which is shifted today from inside the temple. Henceforth there will be kumkmarchana from 1pm to 5pm only. This decision was taken in the interests of the pilgrims as the pilgrims are facing lot of inconvenience to catch a glimpse of the presiding deity while the kumkumarchana was on inside the garbhalaya. To avoid this hitch we have decided to make some changes in Kumkumarchana”, he maintained.

The JEO also said some long term plans including bio-metric system, scanning point, queue complex, compartments etc. are also in the offing. “Our goal is to see that every pilgrim who visits this temple should finish darshan within 15-20minutes. We are also contemplating to shift the prasadam issuing counter on the back side of Vahana Mandapam by demolishing the existing constructions”, he maintained. All these long term plans will be implemented in a phased a manner with the support of local body and locals for the convenience of the pilgrims”, he added.

Special Grade Deputy EO Smt Chenchu Lakshmi, SE III Sri Sudhakar Rao, AEO Smt Nagarathna and others were also present.
