CHATURMASYA YAGAM CONCLUDES IN TIRUMALA

TIRUMALA, JULY 5: The six-day Chaturmasya Yagam mulled by TTD seeking the prosperity of the entire universe concluded on a grand religious noteon Saturday with Purnahuti in Dharmagiri Veda Pathasala premises in Tirumala.

The yagam which began on June 30 with Mahasankalpam and Ganapathi Homam, was performed under the supervision of TTD Agama Advisor Sri Sundaravadanacharyulu.

In the last six days, 13-Isthis mentioned in Vedas were recited by the vedic pundits from four parvas including Vaisva Deva, Praghasa, Sakhamedhiya and Sunasareeya parvas by renowned Vedic maestro Sri R Sundara Rama Vajapeyaji.

Meanwhile on Saturday, the ritwiks performed Purnahuti and dedicated the Yagam to ten important deities of Hindu Mythology including Agni, Soma, Savitha, Saraswathi, Pushna, Indra, Visvedeva, Sunasareeya, Vayu and Surya and concluded the yaga karma with Purnahuti.

Vedic couple who received the honours of Yaga Sri Ramagopala Somayaji and Smt Kalpakamba Homapeethini, Vedapathashala principal Sri KSS Avadhani, vedic pundits, vedic students were also present.
