SINGAPORE FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER OFFERS PRAYERS IN TIRUCHANOOR AND TIRUMALA SHRINES

Tirupati, 5 July 2014: The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Sri K Shanmugam offered prayers in the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Saturday evening.

The foreign minister who reached Tirumala on foot through Alipiri Foot Path route, offered prayers like any other common pilgrim by entering through Supadham entry point at VQC I in the three line queue system inside sanctum sanctorum.

At the temple he was received by Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju who later offered the foreign dignitary with the prasadam of Lord after darshan.

Earlier the minsiter had darshan in the temple of Goddess Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor. After darshan he was offered prasadams by Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar. Later the minister left for Tirumala through Alipiri footpath route. At the beginning of the trekking point, he offered prayers in the temples of Alipiri Padala Mandapam and also in Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy temples also.
