COLOURFUL EXPOS DRAWS ATTENTION OF PILGRIMS

Tirumala, 27 September 2014: The colourful expos displayed by various departments of TTD stood as a special attraction with tens of thousands of pilgrims making a bee-line to witness the grandeur of the exhibitions at Kalyana Vedika in Tirumala.

Earlier opening the expos on Saturday, the TTD EO Sri MG Gopal said, all the departments of TTD including Garden, Public Relations, Forest, Ayurvedic, Museum, Sculpture etc. have done commendable efforts to make the expo look more attractive with innovative themes. Especially, the sand art, the mythological dioramas erected by the Garden Department as a part of the flower exhibition, the photographs depicting the glory of Tirumala  with a theme of past and present are out standing. These expos not only attract the pilgrims but enlighten them of various interesting facts about Tirumala”, he maintained.

Meanwhile the religious themes including sakatasura vadha, Saint Annamacharya pleading Lord for salvation, Setubandhana and Surpanakha being punished by Sri Lakshmana episodes from Ramanyana, Bheema Garvabanga and Duryodhana hiding under waters of lake during Kurukshetra war, Vamanavathara, Image of Goddess Lakshmi-Dragon with vegetables especially bitter guard, bell peppers, brinjal etc. caught the attention of the pilgrims during expo.

TTD Specified Authority Chairman Sri JC Sharma, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, Chief Museum Officer Sri Vijay Kumar, SV Ayurvedic College Principal Dr Rajaiah, Dr Parvathi, DFO Sri Sivaprasad, PRO Sri T Ravi and other officers were also present.
