COMMITTEE COMPLIMENTS TTD FOR ITS SECURITY SND CROWD MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES

TERMS AS ONE OF THE BEST TEMPLE ADMINISTRATIONS IN THE COUNTRY

Tirumala, 27 February 2017: The three member committee constituted by Odisha Government headed by former High Court Judge of Orissa Justice B.P.Das, complimented TTD management for its best security and pilgrim crowd management practices.

The Commission of Inquiry, Sri Jagannath Temple Puri lead by Justice Das had a two hour long meeting with heads of TTD engineering, temple and vigilance wings on various activities being operated by TTD keeping in view multitude of visiting pilgrims at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Monday.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju elaborated on various pilgrim initiatives taken up by TTD including Annaprasadam, accommodation, Kalyanakatta etc.with a special focus on TTD vigilance and security measures with the assistance of local police and systemic management of temple affairs including performance of rituals without any deviation in the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala through power point presentation.

Talking to media after the meeting, the chairman of the committee Justice Das expressed his elation over the outcome of the meeting. “We were briefed on every aspect of TTD in detail. We want to streamline our temple set up in terms of security and darshan in Puri also. TTD has a concrete structure to take care of darshan and security of pilgrims. Be it allowing pilgrims in slots for darshan, sitting them in waiting compartments, vehicular parking and frisking. Everything is streamlined. We foresee the support of intellectual expertise from TTD to replicate in Puri also”, he asserted.
