COMPLETE TRANSLATION OF ASTADASA PURANAS BY DECEMBER END-TTD EO

Tirupati, 22 April, 2016: The translatory works of Astadasa Puranas should be Completed by this year end, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Reviewing on the works of Purana Itihasa Project of TTD in SPRH on Friday the EO said utilising the available technology the works could be Completed at a much faster pace.

He said so far out of 3.70lakh slokas in 18 Puranas 2.57lakhs have been translated by the renowned scholars and experts who are included in this project. The DTP operators may be outsourced to speed up the works, he suggested the project special officer Dr S Lakshmanaiah.

Later the EO complimented Sri Lakshmanaiah and his team of Purana Itihasa Pandits, All Projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao for effectively taking forward the activities in the project.
