CULINARY ART STANDS AS SPECIAL ATTRACTION IN SRIVARI TEMPLE

Tirumala, 31 March 2014: For the first time, the TTD garden department came out with the concept of designing mythological themes by cutting varieites of vegetables in a colourful mannerwhich stood as a special attraction in Srivari temple on the auspicious occasion of Telugu Ugadi on Monday.

The water melon which was carved off with artistic skills potrayed the Dasavataras of Matsya-Kurma-Varaha-Nrisimha-Vamana-Parasurama-Rama Balarama-Krishna-Kalki which was designed by Shimoga-based decorator Sri Harish while sandal Peddasesha Vahanam was designed by Vijayawada based decorator Sri Krishna.

Usually TTD’s Garden Department displays culinary art during annual brahmotsavams but made its maiden entry on Sri Jaya Nama Samvatsara Ugadi.
