CURRENT BOOKING OF KALYANOTSAVAM SEVA TICKET TO NEWLY WED COUPLE TO COMMENCE FROM APRIL 30-TTD EO

TIRUMALA, APRIL 29: “The country’s biggest religious institute of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) which has introduced several pro-pilgrim programmes, as a token gift to the newlywed couple, has introduced current booking of Kalyanotsavam tickets, which will be henceforth issued to them from April 30 onwards, on first come first serve basis”, said TTD EO Sri IYR Krishna Rao.

Addressing media persons at Tirumala Annamaiah Bhavan on Friday after reviewing with TTD officials, he said, TTD has mulled this idea to provide an opportunity to the newlywed couple, who had wed in less than a week’s time span, to have the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. He said a quota of 20 Kalyanotsavam tickets have been allotted to the newly wed couple and the tickets will be issued on first come first serve basis alone. “Out of 100 kalyanotsavam tickets issued under Current booking, 20 will be henceforth allotted to the newlywed couple. If the number of couples who booked the ticket does not exceed the quota on any particular day, then the remaining tickets will be issued under general quota to other pilgrims”, the EO added.

The EO also said, “To avail this new provision, the newly wed couple have to submit a few photos of their wedding including the photos of Knot-tying ceremony (Mangalyadharana) and holy-rice pouring ceremony (Talambralu) along with their invitation card in the exclusive ticket issuing counter meant for them during the time of ticket booking.

Meanwhile the tickets issuing will commence after the EO inaugurate the counter of current booking Kalyanotsava seva ticket meant for newly wed on Saturday at Tirumala.

Sri Rao also said, the TTD has recently introduced a quota of 25 each of Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and Tiruppavadai seva tickets under current booking which will come in to existence from May 4 and 5 respectively.

The EO said, the renovation of various cottages taken up by TTD at an estimated expenditure of Rs.34cr will be get ready by the year-end. “We are expecting to complete nealry 75% of the cottages by this December”, he added.

Meanwhile, the coordination meeting was attended by Tirumala JEO, Sri KS Srinivasa Raju, Special Grade Deputy EO Reception Sri Lakshmikantham, ACVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy, CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy and other HODs and officials of TTD.

Later the EO inspected the ongoing works of Narayanagiri Gardens, New Annadanam Complex and the wastage dumping area in Kakulakonda.
