TIRUMALA, APRIL 30: The TTD Executive Officer Sri IYR Krishna Rao called upon the officers of various categories at district-level to take up a massive campaign on Kalyanamastu at the grass root level so that it will benefit more number of couples to get married under sixth phase of Kalyanamastu-free mass marriages programme by TTD which is scheduled to take place on May 20.
Addressing the awareness programme organised jointly by TTD and district administration on sixth phase of Kalyanamastu at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Saturday, the EO said, only 262 couples from district tied the knot during the fifth phase of Kalyanamastu. However he complimented the effective campaign taken up by the district administration to enroll that number of couples for Kalyanamastu within a short span of time. “But now we have nearly 20 days time which is fit enough to take up massive campaign at the grass root level”, EO expressed.
He said as the district administration has wide range of contacts even in the remote areas, TTD has decided to involve district officers more effectively in Kalyanamastu since last phase of the mass marriages programme and it has yielded fruitful results across the state. The EO said, TTD has enough material to perform even 20thousand marriages this time. “We are prepared even if the number exceeds by another five thousands. But Chittoor district should top the list of having performed highest number of mass marriages in the sixth phase”, he desired.
Speaking on the occasion, Putalapattu legislator Dr. Ravi said, TTD has taken up several welfare activities for the benefit of the pilgrims and public in general. Among the recent ones, Kalynamastu won accolades as it has lit the lives of several poor families who could not able to perform their daughters marriage due to financial constraints. “Kalyanamastu is a divine programme where in the couple get married with the blessings of Lord of Lords. But the district administration should take up massive campaign to see that more number of poor get benefited out of this programme”, he added.
Addressing the gathering, district collector Sri Salmon Arogya Raj said that in the last five phases about 1930 couples tied the knot in Chittoor district. “There were about 4000 staff working in various departments in the district. Even if each one could able to register one couple, we can perform about 4000 marriages in the district alone. But keep in mind that the enrollment should be within the limitations. The boy should have completed 21years and the girl 18years of age and they should tie the knot with the consent of their parents only”, he added. “Take the campaign widely even in the remote areas with the help of SHGs, IKP, Anganwadi workers, VROs and see that it turn out to be a grand success”, he said.
Tirupati Urban SP Dr.Ravinder said, the police will extend full co-operation for the smooth conduct of the mass marriages in the district.
After the awareness meeting, betrothal has been performed to three couples hailing from Chandragiri-(Kondalaiah,Vanaja), Ramachandrapuram-(Venkatramana,Munemma) and Erpedu-(Aiyyappa,Ratnamma). The delegates have blessed the couple and later offered them with Lord’s prasadams.
Kalyanamastu Laision officer and TTD Transport GM Sri Sesha Reddy and other district officials were also present.

తిరుపతి, ఏప్రిల్‌ -30, 2011 : తిరుమల తిరుపతి దేవస్థానము ఆధ్వర్యంలో, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ ప్రోత్సాహంతో, గత ఐదేళ్ళుగా నిర్వహిస్తూ వస్తున్న రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్త కల్యాణమస్తు ఉచిత సామూహిక వివాహ కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా ఈ ఏడాది మే 20వ తారీఖున నిర్వహిస్తున్న ఆరవ విడత కల్యాణమస్తు కార్యక్రమంలో చిత్తూరుజిల్లాది అగ్రస్థానం కావాలని తితిదే ఇ.ఓ.శ్రీ ఐ.వై.ఆర్‌ కృష్ణారావు పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
శనివారం నాడు స్థానిక మహతి ఆడిటోరియంలో తిరుమల తిరుపతి దేవస్థానం మరియు చిత్తూరుజిల్లా ప్రభుత్వ అధికార యంత్రాంగం సంయుక్త ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఆరవ విడత కల్యాణమస్తు కార్యక్రమం పై అవగాహనా సదస్సు జరిగింది. జిల్లా కలెక్టర్‌ శ్రీ సాల్మన్‌ ఆరోగ్యరాజ్‌ అధ్యక్షతన జరిగిన ఈ సదస్సులో తితిదే ఇ.ఓ.శ్రీ ఐ.వై.ఆర్‌. కృష్ణారావు మాట్లాడుతూ గ్రామస్థాయిలో ప్రచారాన్ని విస్తృతంగా తీసుకువెళ్ళగలిగితే గత ఐదు విడతల కన్నా ద్విగుణీకృత సంఖ్యలో వివాహాలు జరిపించవచ్చని ఆయన సభలోని వివిధ విభాగాలకు చెందిన జిల్లా సిబ్బందికి పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
గత నాలుగు విడతలలో ఈ కార్యక్రమం కేవలం తితిదే కార్యక్రమంగా జిల్లాయంత్రాంగం సహకారాన్ని మాత్రమే తీసుకుంటూ నిర్వహించడం జరిగిందన్నారు. అయితే ఐదవ విడత నుండి జిల్లా యంత్రాంగాన్ని కూడా ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో కీలకభూమిక పోషించేలా చేయడంతో గత విడతకు చాలా తక్కువ సమయం ఉన్నా, అనేక మందికి ఉచిత వివాహాలు నిర్వహించడం సాధ్యం అయిందన్నారు. అందుకు కారణం జిల్లా యంత్రాంగం గ్రామీణ స్థాయి వరకు విస్తరించి ఉంటుంది గనుక ఎక్కువ మంది పేదలు ఈ కల్యాణమస్తు వేదికను సద్వినియోగం చేసుకోగలరన్నారు. అయితే కల్యాణమస్తు లక్ష్యం కేవలం సంఖ్యాబలం చూపడం కాదని, ఎన్ని వివాహాలు చేసినా అవన్నీ సరైన అర్హతలతో కూడినవిగా మాత్రమే ఉండి ఎటువంటి వివాదాలకు తావివ్వకుండా ఉండాలన్నారు.
గత యేడాది చిత్తూరుజిల్లాలో 262 జంటలు కల్యాణమస్తు వేదికద్వారా ఒక్కటయ్యారన్నారు. ఈ యేడాది ఇంకా ఇరవై రోజుల సమయం ఉంది గనుక రాష్ట్రంలోనే చిత్తూరుజిల్లా అగ్రభాగాన నిలిచే విధంగా ప్రతి ఒక్కరు కృషి చేయాలని ఆయన అన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి విశిష్ట అతిధిగా విచ్చేసిన పూతలపట్టు శాసనసభ్యులు డా||రవి మాట్లాడుతూ, తితిదే శ్రీవారి భక్తుల కొరకు ఎన్నో మంచి కార్యక్రమాలను నిరంతరం చేపడుతూనే ఉందన్నారు. అయితే కల్యాణమస్తు ఒక బృహత్కార్యక్రమమని ఆయన తెలిపారు. సాక్షాత్తు కలియుగ ప్రత్యక్షదైవమైన శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి నిర్వహిస్తున్న ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి గ్రామస్థాయిలో మంచి ప్రచారాన్ని తీసుకొని వచ్చి పేదల జీవితాలలో వెలుగు రేఖలను నింపాలని ఆయన పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి అధ్యక్షత వహించిన చిత్తూరుజిల్లా కలెక్టర్‌ శ్రీ సాల్మన్‌ ఆరోగ్యరాజ్‌ మాట్లాడుతూ ఇప్పటి వరకు చిత్తూరుజిల్లాలో నిర్వహించిన ఐదువిడతల కల్యాణమస్తు కార్యక్రమంలో 1930 జంటలకు వివాహాలు జరిగాయని ఆయన అన్నారు. సాక్షాత్తు శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి పాదాల చెంత ఉంచిన తాళిబొట్టులను వధువుకు అందించే మహత్వపూర్ణమైన కార్యక్రమం ఇది అన్నారు. జిల్లాలో దాదాపు నాలుగు వేల మంది సిబ్బంది పనిచేస్తున్నారు అన్నారు. వీరిలో ప్రతి ఒక్కరు ఒక జంట ప్రకారం నమోదు చేయించిన ఒక చిత్తూరుజిల్లా నుండే నాలుగువేలకు పైగా జంటలకు పెళ్ళి చేసే అవకాశం ఉంటుందన్నారు. యధాప్రకారం అమ్మాయి 18 ఏళ్ళు, అబ్బాయికి 21 ఏళ్ళు పూర్తి అయి ఉండి వారి తల్లిదండ్రుల అంగీకారంతోనే వివాహం జరిపించాల్సి ఉంటుందని ఆయన తెలిపారు. జిల్లా అధికారులు అంగన్‌ వాడి కార్యకర్తలు, ఐ.కె.పి, వి.ఆర్‌.ఓల సహకారాన్ని కూడా తీసుకొని కల్యాణమస్తుకు మంచి ప్రచారాన్ని కల్పించాలని ఆయన కోరారు.
అంతకుపూర్వం తిరుపతి అర్బన్‌ యస్‌.పి.డా|| రవీందర్‌ మాట్లాడుతూ సాక్షాత్తు స్వామివారి ఆశీస్సులతో ఒక్కటయ్యే ఈ జంటలకు సత్సంతాన ప్రాప్తి, ఆయురారోగ్యాలు సముకూరుతాయని అన్నారు. కల్యాణమస్తు కార్యక్రమాన్ని దిగ్విజయం గావించడానికి పోలీసు యంత్రాంగం తమ సహకారాన్ని అందిస్తుందన్నారు.
సభాకార్యక్రమానంతరం ఆరవ విడత కల్యాణమస్తులో స్వామివారి ఆశీస్సులతో ఒక్కటవ్వడానికి ముందుగా పేర్లు నమోదు చేసుకున్న మూడు జంటలకు మహతివేదిక పైనే శాస్త్రోక్తంగా నిశ్చయతాంబూల కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించారు. వీరిలో కొండలయ్య-వనజ, వెంకటరమణ-మునెమ్మ, అయ్యప్ప-రత్నమ్మ జంటలకు తితిదే ఇ.ఓ., పూతలపట్టు శాసనసభ్యులు, జిల్లా కలెక్టర్‌, ఇతర అధికారులు అభినందించి అక్షతలతో ఆశీర్వదించారు.
అనంతరం వారికి స్వామివారి ప్రసాదాన్ని అందించారు.
