DARSHAN IN TIRUMALA TEMPLE TO BE RESUMED AFTER 9.30PM

Tirumala, 8 october, 2014: Following lunar eclipse on Wednesday, the temple doors of the famous Tirumala Shrine have been closed by 10am and the temple doors re-opened by the temple priests by 8pm.

After that temple cleansing rituals including Suddhi, Punyahavachanam have been performed followed by Thomala seva in Ekantam. Later the pilgrims were allowed for darshan after 9.30pm till midnight.

Meanwhile the Annaprasdam activity has also been stalled owing to “Grahanam” in Tirumala. The doors of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam complex have been re-opened after 8pm and the entire premises have been cleansed before commencing the cooking activity. Later the pilgrims were served annaprasadam from 9.30pm on wards till 11.30pm on Wednesday.
