DEEPAVALI LITS LIGHT IN EVERYBODY’S LIFE-TTD CHAIRMAN AND EO

Tirumala, 11 November 2015: TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy and EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao said, that the purpose of the festival is to lit light in the life of every individual and with the benign blessings of Lord Venkateswara the purpose will be fulfilled.

After Deepavali Asthanam inside Srivari temple on Wednesday, the Chairman and EO extended Diwali Greetings to all pilgrim devotees, staff and Srivari sevakulu.

Earlier, Deepavali Asthanam was conducted in Tirumala Temple on the day of Amavasya (Dark Moon) in the holy month of Aswayuja. Deepavali Asthanam was performed near Ghanta(Bell) Mandapam at Bangaru Vakili inside the Tirumala Temple after the first bell. On this occasion Special rituals like Vishesha Padi and presentation of new silk vastrams to the main deity followed by a procession of Utsava Murthies including Vishwaksena,the chief commander of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy was performed. Later the Utsavarulu were seated on a special platform while Vishwaksena was also made to set adjacent to the deities and Asthanam was performed.

Board members Dr P Hariprasad, Sri G Bhanuprakash Reddy, CVSO Sri Nagendra Kumar and others were also present.
