DIWALI LIGHTS ILLUMINATE CHEERS AMONG PATIENTS OF BIRRD HOSPITAL

TIRUPATI, NOV 11: It has been a Heyday for the patients undergoing medication in TTD-run BIRRD hospital as the festival of Lights-Diwali has ventured on the pleasant evening of Wednesday to lit the lights of joy in their lives imbibing new spirit in them.The inclement weather has not dampened their spirits as they braved the showers to enjoy every bit of Deepavali.

The in-patients in the paediatric ward of TTD-run Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) in the temple city of Tirupati rejoiced the day burning crackers amidst pomp and gaiety in the presence of TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and BIRRD Director Dr G Jagadish.

The Executive Officer speaking on this occasion said, the festival is being observed in a grand manner in this ortho hospital by the hospital authorities with a noble aim to provide “At Home Feel” to the little patients and I compliment Dr Jagadish and his team for this innovative effort”, he added. Later he wished that the children who are under medication should recover soon and enjoy their lives like any other child of their age with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.

Meanwhile the front yard of BIRRD hospital is been illuminated with electrical arches in a colourful manner befitting the occasion. The premises were decorated with diyas all around. The patients were made to sit in the finely decorated yard and were distributed crackers.

All the patients, doctors and other staff members enjoyed the occasion and burnt the crackers. The hospital premises in TTD-run Balaji Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) donned a refreshing look with the grand Diwali Celebrations.
